Teardrop hoops in stainless steel, shaped so the curve widens at the base and tapers towards the top. In 18k gold plate or brushed silver.
The taper is what makes them sit forward against the jaw rather than hanging flat against the neck. A hoop of uniform width hangs straight down and disappears in profile. Weighting the base pushes the lower curve outward, which is why these read as jewellery from the front rather than only from the side.
Stainless steel underneath rather than brass. Brass reacts with skin and leaves a green mark at the contact point within weeks, which is why cheap earrings cannot be worn continuously. Steel does not react, so these can stay in.
The silver is brushed rather than mirror-polished. A polished surface throws hard highlights and shows every fingerprint; a brushed finish diffuses the light and stays looking clean between wears.
Waterproof and tarnish-resistant. Swim in them, shower in them, sleep in them. Hinged closure, sold as a pair.

- Avoid perfume, hairspray and abrasive cleaners directly on the plating. Spray first, then put the earrings in
- Do not use silver polish or a polishing cloth on the brushed silver. It burnishes the surface to a shine and removes the texture
- Store dry and separately from harder pieces so nothing scratches the surface
Stainless steel is nickel-safe for most people, unlike plated brass. If you have a known nickel allergy, patch test first.
