A flight-jacket shape with a wide fold-down collar and sherpa pile through the body and the collar itself. Zip front, two flap pockets at the hip, and a clean back with no seaming to break it up.
The collar is the piece worth paying for - it is deep enough to turn up and actually close around the neck, which is the difference between a jacket that looks the part and one that works in wind.
Honest note: the collar adds real bulk at the shoulders. Worn with a scarf it is a lot, and the shape is unapologetically boxy.
