A trilby in genuine full grain cowhide — and full grain is the specification worth understanding.

Full grain is the outer layer of the hide with nothing sanded off. It is the densest, strongest part, and the only leather that develops a patina rather than wearing through a surface coating. A leather hat gets handled constantly at the brim, so it is exactly where that matters.

The crown is firm and structured rather than soft, and the brim is cut sharp.

Three colours: black, brown and chestnut brown.

Materials & Care

Genuine full grain cowhide leather — this is the material our supplier states, and full grain is a specific grade rather than a vague claim. This contains animal hide. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Do not machine wash. Do not soak. Reshape the crown by hand while damp if it gets caught in rain, and dry away from direct heat.

Fit & Sizing

M, L, XL — these are HEAD sizes, not clothing sizes. Do not order by the size you wear in a jumper. Our supplier has not published the head circumference for each size and we will not invent figures. Measure around your head just above the ears and contact us before ordering — we will get the measurements confirmed. As a general guide, a men's M hat is usually around 57cm, L around 59cm and XL around 61cm. That is an industry norm, not a measurement of this hat.

Shipping & Returns

Free delivery on every UK order. Orders are dispatched within 1-3 business days. Delivery is typically 7-12 business days after dispatch. Tracking is emailed as soon as your parcel leaves the warehouse.

30 day returns. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from delivery to cancel your order, and we extend this to 30 days for any unused item in its original condition. We refund the price of the item plus the standard outbound delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the return.

Return postage is paid by you unless the item is faulty, damaged or not as described, in which case we cover it. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
